On Sunday 22nd of February some of the Neighbourhood Policing Team were policing the Nottingham Forest Vs Liverpool football match at the City Ground, during the match public order serials allocated to outside the ground carried out an area search after reports of an attempt theft of cycles from the Trent Embankment.
While that was going on Rushcliffe Response attended East Leake where a motorcyclist had sustained injuries in a single vehicle collision. The circumstances of that collision are also still under investigation.
Today Monday 23rd of February an officer visited the Ratcliffe on Soar power station to discuss the issues around the site and surrounding communities, including car cruising which since the introduction of the red route on the A453 junction has reduced dramatically showing how a partner agency approach can design out crime and solve some of our problems which in turn allows resources to concentrate on other priorities such as thefts from site and trespass which continues while the site is decommissioned. Contractors , Uniper and security staff are still on site which due to its nature is a dangerous environment for anyone who is not authorised to be there and is unaware of the site specific hazards.
